Besides the food, the music and the cultural performances, other major eye-catching events are camel rides, processions, camel polo, and even a camel tug-of-war. All of it is held against the backdrop of the majestic Jaisalmer fort.
In the evening at Jaisalmer Desert Festival, a sound and light spectacle is organized with folk artists performing against the splendid backdrop of the famous Sam sand dunes on the full moon night. And Fireworks displays at night light up the area, and the fort is illuminated too.
