Providing you a very rejuvenating experience, Konark is a small town located in the district of Puri in the East Indian state of Orissa, around 65 km far from the state capital Bhubaneswar. The 13th-century Sun Temple is dedicated to Sun God and the town is known for this splendid temple called the Black Pagoda. Now a World Heritage Site, this temple was constructed by using black granite, during the reign of King Narasimhadeva-I (1236-1264 AD) of the Eastern Ganga Dynasty.
